I've known Jeff Konich for a little over four years. I've had the pleasure of serving with him in the Massachusetts Army National Guard. He is very humble, quiet, and gets the job done. After chatting with him a few times we seem to have had something deeply in common and that was the martial arts. Once we found out each other trained the conversation expanded we shared our different experiences, talked about the different styles, and we learned that we happen to know a lot of the same Masters in the New England area. This brother of mine in the military and the martial arts has the knowledge and love for the arts. He is also a family man as well which is very important. I definitely recommend his school to anybody that looking to train and find a dojo that is family oriented.

It was a pleasure to train with Mr. Jeff. I found it refreshing that when working together he took the art so seriously and stayed on task where so many other instructors seem to be afraid to really engage the effort of their students. He presented me with the challenge to demand more of myself through his example and his demonstrated commitment. I'm not sure I actually want to do this because, does this mean Mr. Jeff will not be coming back to teach us? He's a great teacher and I would miss him. But I would recommend him a teacher and as a generally awesome human being, to whatever endeavor he undertakes. I love my dojo, FMAC has been such a positive influence in my life and this is not the least due to the great teachers I've met there. All of them are awesome in different and unique ways. Mr. Jeff is a calm and focused presence in class. I love his attention to detail and his ability to make us think about Kenpo cognitively, not just physically. He understands not only what we are doing, but why we are doing it, and can explain it to even the newest of novices. I hope to see him soon in our studio, but if I don't, I'm sure he will go far.

I have known Jeffrey for 15 years (since I moved back from Florida sophomore year in high school). I was new to Monty Tech (a great Vocational School in Fitchburg, Massachusetts). The first day I ever saw Jeffrey, he came into shop with a brief case filled with his grandfather's business cards and other very organized things. My first instinct, being a young boy trying to fit in, was think like the group and say, "what a weirdo why does he have a brief case?"
At first, I only wanted to be around the people who were labeled “cool” by school standards and over a short amount of time I fell into that group and hung out with them after school. I also noticed that Jeffrey was being almost outcasted in our shop. When I noticed that I was determined to become his friend ,sadly to say out of pity, and as I spent more time talking to him (and becoming closer to him) I quickly realized Jeffrey was far different from the other superficial kids I was hanging around with. There was (and still is) a very genuine attribute that I couldn't put my finger on. It was when I learned that he had been training in the Martial Arts for 8 years (at just 16 years old) that things started to make sense.
As time went on, I realized that Jeffrey had the unconscious ability to motivate and inspire others as well as the innate desire to lead. Jeffrey gradually became one of my best friends in school sleeping over each other's homes, training together, running obstacle courses through the woods. Even when I drifted away for a while he never once held any contempt towards me. His Loyalty and Dedication to our friendship has been unwavering and is a true testament to what his Black Belt Leadership Program will do for your Family. It will teach your children the value of Comradery and Partnership that Jeffrey shows every person he works with.
When I fell into a very rough patch in my life and was losing hope, Jeffrey was one of my only beacons of light to encourage me to be the person he saw inside of me. Through our friendship in which I truly believe is a Gift from God, he has unconsciously led me to my beautiful wife who happens to be his cousin, to whom I have been with for 8 years now. Jeffrey is one of the most Dedicated, Determined, Loving, Passionate, Intelligent and Honorable men I have ever known.
He has cultivated nearly 25 years of dedication to his Art and is coming up on 10 years of Dedicated Military Service! He is a loving Father and Passionate Instructor who has maintained his ability to motivate and inspire those who he works with. Especially if a student is shy and outcasted, Jeffrey will bring out the best in them, so they too may one day carry the legacy of Honor, Dedication, and Friendship!
